Hoodie Manufacturing in Turkey: Fabric and Fit
A hoodie works as a combination of body fabric, hood, neckline and rib. Choosing a fabric weight alone will not determine the finished silhouette. The sample needs to show how those parts behave together when the garment is worn.
Diagnose a hood that pulls the neckline back
Consider a sample that looks balanced on a hanger but shifts backwards on the wearer. Before shortening the front or changing the body size, review the hood construction, lining and neckline together. Note when the movement happens and compare the sample with the intended wearing position.
A double-layer hood, a different lining or a changed hood shape may alter the result. Review the proposed correction on the complete garment; examining a loose fabric swatch will not show the interaction. Check the pocket and hem position again if the garment balance changes.
Ask for a correction tied to an observation, such as the neckline position during wear, rather than a general request for better fit. For a zip hoodie, also operate the zip and assess the front while closed. Textile Manufacture coordinates the relevant sample and production tasks with partner workshops according to the construction being developed.
Choose the construction first
Is the style a pullover, a zip hoodie or a crewneck sweatshirt? Specify the hood lining, drawcord, eyelets, pocket, zipper and seam details where relevant. A reference photo is useful for the silhouette, but it cannot define every measurement. Mark the features that must stay fixed and those that can be adapted to available materials.
Fabric and trim decisions
Fabric composition, approximate weight, knit structure and inner finish affect warmth, drape and cost. A brushed inner surface feels different from an unbrushed one. Match cuffs and hem rib to the main fabric and inspect how they recover after stretching. For colour, a physical swatch or accepted colour reference is more reliable than a phone screen.
What to check in the sample
- Compare chest, length, shoulder and sleeve measurements with the size chart.
- Check hood balance, neck opening and pocket position when worn.
- Assess rib recovery, seam appearance and fabric feel.
- Inspect print or embroidery size, location and finish.
- Agree on wash testing and acceptable changes in dimensions.
Send sample corrections as a numbered list. Keep the approved sample, measurement sheet and decoration artwork together so the bulk order has one reference.
Request a scoped quote
Provide quantity per style and colour, size distribution, destination and target date. Ask whether the quote includes fabric, trims, pattern, sampling, decoration, inspection and packing. An exact price or MOQ cannot be responsibly promised before these details are reviewed.
Share the silhouette, fabric reference and any sample concerns. Include whether the style is pullover or zipped so the discussion starts with the right garment. Discuss your hoodie construction.
