Finishing the garments is not the same as completing an international order. Packing, counts, documents and responsibility for freight need to be clear before production ends. Exact customs and tax obligations depend on the destination and contractual terms.

Define the shipping unit

Choose whether items are individually bagged, grouped by style/size or packed to a retailer specification. Agree carton marks, dimensions, weight recording and a packing list that matches the physical boxes.

Set responsibilities in writing

Identify who books freight, arranges pickup, prepares commercial documents and handles destination import requirements. Confirm the agreed delivery term and named place in the commercial contract. Obtain qualified logistics or customs advice for the actual route.

Link dispatch to quality approval

Final quantities, any shortages and inspection findings should be settled before cartons are released. Keep batch and carton records so a discrepancy can be traced. Photograph or otherwise document packed goods where useful.
