A supplier can respond faster and more accurately when the enquiry describes the product instead of asking only “What is your minimum and price?” Unknowns are normal at an early stage; label them clearly so the response can separate assumptions from confirmed decisions.

Describe each style

Include front/back references, intended fit, size range, fabric direction, decoration and trims. Attach an existing pattern or measurement chart if available. Give each style and colour a simple code to prevent confusion.

Show the numbers

State expected quantity per style, colour and size, not just the collection total. Share the requested sample date, target delivery period and destination. If the quantity is a forecast rather than a commitment, say so.

Ask for comparable terms

Request separate development and bulk costs, inclusions for fabric and packaging, revision rules, payment milestones, inspection and delivery basis. A quote should say what can change once material and sample choices are final.
