A repeat order is easier only when the original product is documented. Fabric batches, trims and production capacity can change. Treat a reorder as a confirmed specification plus a check of current availability, rather than a request to “make the same thing again”.

Retrieve the approved record

Use the final sample, tech pack, pattern version, measurement chart, artwork and packing instructions. Record any accepted deviations from the first run. Separate improvements from an unchanged repeat so they can be sampled if necessary.

Reconfirm materials and quantities

Check whether the fabric and trims are still available, and review a physical replacement if not. Update the size and colour split from actual sales rather than assuming the initial mix was ideal. Validate new lead-time and price assumptions.

Use quality feedback

Review returns, fit notes and inspection findings. Change one controlled specification at a time and date the approval. This gives the next production lot a clear reference and makes differences explainable.
