Custom Shirt Manufacturing Quotes
A useful custom shirt manufacturing quote explains what product and services have been priced. Collar construction, cuff style, fabric, quantities and packing can change the work even when two shirts look similar. The aim is not to collect the fastest unit figure; it is to make competing scopes comparable.
Give the quotation a defined shirt
- Front and back views with collar, placket, cuff, pocket and hem details.
- Base-size measurements and intended size range.
- Identified fabric and trim references, or clear sourcing targets.
- Units by style, colour and size.
- Label, folding, packing, destination and target timing information.
A photograph may start the discussion, but it does not show internal construction or measurement methods. If the shirt still needs a pattern and sample, say so instead of asking for a bulk-only price.
Compare inclusions, not headline figures
| Scope item | Offer A | Offer B | Question to resolve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pattern and sample | Existing pattern assumed | Development included | Which starting file is being priced? |
| Fabric | Buyer supplied | Sourcing review included | Are the same cloth specifications used? |
| Packing | Basic fold | Branded pack | Which labels and materials are included? |
Neither offer is automatically better. First align the assumptions, then compare commercial terms. The production quote checklist provides a broader garment-level reference.
Separate development from repeatable production
Pattern work, sampling and revisions are development tasks; cutting, sewing, finishing and packing belong to the production scope. A quote should state how revisions are handled and which approval releases production. It should also identify who supplies fabric, buttons, labels and artwork.
Textile Manufacture reviews the shirt specification and coordinates quotations with suitable partner workshops. MOQ, availability, timing and price are confirmed only after that review. Send one style brief and its colour-size allocation to begin with a scope that can be compared.
